Our Programs

What We Do

Garden Based Learning

In 2015, Create Purpose launched the first phase of the Science curriculum with a Garden Based Learning pilot program in one orphanage based on the proven methodology of STEAM Learning (Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Math) using Project Based Learning principles.

It seeks that the participants learn how to grow organic food in a sustainable way in an urban environment, benefiting their personal health and the environment. All this through a methodology that fosters collaborative work while promoting collaborative, expressive, reflective, self-learning and self-worth skills, critical thinking, creativity and curiosity, taking into account the individual capacities of each one.

Technology Program

Using existing technology education platforms, local Tijuana experts in technology join forces with San Diego technology specialists to bring this one-of-a-kind learning experience to the children.

It seeks that the participants reach technological mastery according to their age. That they develop logical mathematical thinking, creative thinking, the ability to abstract, and information management at a high level, in order to facilitate problem solving in different areas of life. All this through a methodology that encourages collaborative work and also autonomous learning.

Nutrition, Health and Wellbeing

Along with Desarrollo Integral de la Familia (DIF) and Culinary Art School, in 2018 we launched our first series of workshops that focused on providing Nutrition training for caretakers of orphanages.

This program seeks to develop in the participants knowledge, skills and resources that allow them to offer healthy and tasty food and improve the diet of girls, boys and adolescents residing in Orphanages, Homes and shelters through healthy, affordable, accessible menus and personalized to address one of the main factors that lead to Noncommunicable Diseases in adult life. This through a methodology that fosters collaborative work while promoting collaborative and self-care skills.
